Rags to Riches Business Success
The son of Turkish immigrants, John Ilhan was told by a teacher that he wouldn’t amount to anything.
Later in life he dropped out of college and installed batteries in cars. As a junior sales clerk he kept getting passed over for promotions in favor of college graduates.
As a salesman he had a dispute over $1100 with his employer so he struck out to pursue his own business ideas. That turned out to be a good decision.
A few days ago, John Ilhan died unexpectedly at the age of 42. But even at that young age, he had an estimated net worth of over $300 million.
He accomplished this by thinking outside of the box with creative and unusual marketing ideas and built a thriving mobile phone dealership employing more than 600 people in Australia.
Thankfully, he didn’t listen to others who told him he wouldn’t amount to anything. If you’ve had people in your life who have told you negative things, are you letting it affect you..or are you working actively on your own dreams?
